The Community Working Group (CWG) was established by the Water Renewal The Woodlands partners to serve as a dedicated advisory body designed to foster collaboration between community members, the Municipal Utility Districts (MUDs), Woodlands Water, and the San Jacinto River Authority (SJRA).
The CWG serves as a crucial link, ensuring that the voices of The Woodlands residents are heard and integrated into water infrastructure renewal efforts.
While the CWG does not hold decision-making power, its primary role is to enhance public engagement, provide transparent communication, and relay community concerns to project leaders. Members represent a diverse cross-section of the community, including local business representatives, Village Association leaders, and engaged residents, ensuring that all perspectives—supportive, opposed, or undecided—are considered.
